Interdisco is a collection of popular music compiled by year, from 1970 to early 1990s. The compilation is inspired by and partly dependent on the Eurovision Song Contest.

While the ESC is only eligible for members of the European Broadcasting Union, Interdisco reaches out beyond the Iron Curtain to include a wider range of participants and a wider range of music. Our aim is to create an interesting compilation of music which will otherwise be forgotten.

NB: Interdisco entries must be sung in an official language of the country represented and must be published in the year in focus, or in the year immediateley precedent.

Semifinal A consists of countries participating in the ESC. Songs considered interesting enough will remain, while others may be replaced. In case there was a public national selection the replacement must be a song of that selection.

Semifinal B consists of countries not taking part in the ESC. For these participants, we will find suitable songs from our own collection.

The Final consists of the qualifying entries from the semifinals. From each semifinal, 10 songs qualify directly in an internal selection. Moreover, we may add up to 4 wildcard songs, making total of 20 - 24 songs.

Interdisco is managed by Rickard and David in Stockholm, Sweden. We share an interest in collecting music in various forms and any contributions to our collection is of course appreciated. We have no commercial interest in the music presented but we do admit to a certain amount of nerdiness. Enjoy!
